This is because the inductor blocks the transmission of a measurable frequency range into the elctricity mains. A very convenient accessory.

This lightbulb emits light in the red/yellow spectrum necessary for the flowering stage.
Since it lacks the blue spectrum it is not suitable for the vegetative stage.
Works only with the right ballast (HPS) and a E 40 socket.
